The main components of the video laryngoscope are the reusable LCD screen and the reusable handle. (Optional Macintosh or Miller blade or different size Difficult airway blade) The individual components connected form the video laryngoscope with a different size blade in the respective configuration (Fig. 1). The video laryngoscope is equipped with a camera and an LED light source and provides an image of the larynx and trachea. The image is displayed on the 3" LCD screen. Pictures and videos can be stored on the internal 8GB memory card. Image and video files must be transferred to a PC to be viewed using a USB cable. The device is powered by an internal rechargeable 3.7V lithium-ion battery.

The VIDEOLaryngoscope is an instrument used to assist tracheal intubation. The need to ensure a safe airway is essential for an anesthesiologist prior to a surgical procedure. As a rigid laryngoscope, it holds and shapes the anatomy allowing a clear view of the trachea entrance and larynx. Paramedics, emergency physicians, and GPs may also need to insert a tracheal tube to keep the airway open while cardiopulmonary resuscitation is performed on an unconscious patient in an emergency. The device has a light source (LED) and a miniature camera (camera) to view the larynx during the laryngoscopy procedure. The image is displayed on an LCD screen (screen) located within a monitor mounted on the handle of the device. A battery that powers the display, camera and LED is mounted in the handle. Blades and device are presented non-sterile. The sterilization process before use should be applied in accordance with the instructions given in the user manual.
